BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 NSIC Women’s Volleyball Tournament which will be held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on November 22-24. Fans can purchase their tickets for the tournament by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or by going to the Sanford Pentagon box office.

The tournament will pit the top eight teams from the NSIC regular season standings in a single elimination, bracketed format. Session one of Friday’s quarterfinals will have matches at 12 and 2:30 p.m. while session two’s matches will be at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday’s semifinals will be played at 4:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday’s championship match will be played at 3 p.m. The winner of the NSIC Volleyball Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament  on December 5-8 on a campus to be determined.  The 2019 NCAA Volleyball Championships will take place on December 12-14 at Auraria Events Center in Denver, Colorado.

NSIC Volleyball has had nine teams ranked in the top 25 in the nation this season and has won nine of the past 12 NCAA Division II National Championships.    

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.  The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.  Formed in 1992 by the merger of the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (men’s league) and the Northern Sun Conference (women’s league), the NSIC has flourished over the past quarter century, maturing into a 16-team union of Upper Midwest colleges and universities to form arguably the strongest affiliation in NCAA Division II.
