BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced additions to the one-year agreement with Midco Sports Network® for live coverage of NSIC events.  MidcoSN has added 10 NSIC basketball doubleheaders to its schedule of live games for 2017-18. This is in addition to the 19 live football games and expanded coverage of the final three rounds of the NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball Tournaments, which was announced earlier this summer.

“We are excited to add this basketball doubleheader package to our MidcoSN lineup. Adding live content to regional cable is just another way that fans can experience the high level of NSIC Basketball.  Having MidcoSN on campus will also enhance the gameday experience for our student-athletes and fans,” said NSIC Commissioner Erin Lind.

"MidcoSN is happy to further its relationship with the NSIC by adding 10 regular season doubleheaders to our expanded live coverage of regional sports. There are many unique stories within a gamecast, and these doubleheaders bring so much exposure to the teams as the season unfolds, leading up to the exciting NSIC tournament in Sioux Falls in February,” added Mark Powell, VP of MidcoSN.

This past summer the NSIC and MidcoSN announced a partnership that included 11 weeks of the “NSIC Thursday Night Game of the Week”, airing each week from August 31 through November 9 at 7 p.m. on MidcoSN. The live broadcast schedule also included various Saturday games throughout the season.  Additionally, MidcoSN expanded its coverage of the NSIC/Sanford Health Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, adding the Saturday and Sunday quarterfinal games to its existing coverage of semifinal and championship games.
