The third and final day of the Indoor Track and Field National Championship saw Minnesota State's Altoniece Williams win the national championship in the 60-meter hurdles. Williams returned to the finals in the 60-meter hurdles for the second consecutive season after finishing second the previous year and her time of 8.37 falls just one second shy of her own personal and Minnesota State record.  Her performance marks the first national indoor championship for the Mavericks since Lauren Stelten claimed the pole vault championship in 2010-2011.

Khadiya Hollingsworth finished tied for third place in the high jump with a leap of 5'8" to earn her first career All-American honors in the indoor championships to add to her All-American outdoor high jump performance last season.  Brianna Ziolkowski also competed in the high jump and finished 15th with a top jump of 5'3.75".  In the triple jump Ariel Thomas finished 16th with a leap of 38'11.5".

Emi Trost placed second in the mile run at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.  The University of Minnesota Duluth junior finished in a time of 4:40.96 (which was six second faster than her meet-best qualifying time from two days earlier) while Western State Colorado University's Alicja Konieczyk came in first at 4:37.42.  Trost has now earned NCAA indoor All-American  status on five occasions while Colbenson is a two-time All-American for indoors.

The University of Mary's Alexis Zeis capped off a week she will never forget by earning her seventh All-American citation. After winning the national championship in the 5,000 meter run on Thursday, the junior placed seventh in the 3,000 meter run on the final day of the 2017 NCAA Division II women's indoor track & field championships. Zeis finished the race with a time of 9:31.37, her second-best mark of the season and better than her winning time at the Northern Sun championships.

St. Cloud State senior jumper Patience Yalartai placed seventh among all competitors nationally to become an NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-American in the triple jump for the first time in her career. Yalartai recorded a 40-1.25 on her second jump to be one of nine finalists for the event with the top eight finishers achieving NCAA DII Track & Field All-American status.
