NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#51 Miranda Ristau (C, 6-2, Sr., Warner, S.D. / Warner HS)
Northern State

- Led the Wolves averaging 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in wins over Texas A&M Intl, CSU-Pueblo & Westminster
- Shot a team leading 71.4 percent from the floor, knocking down 20-of-28 shots                          
- Tallied her first double-double of the season against Westminster with 19 points and 13 rebounds
- Added a team leading five blocks
- Recorded five assists and one steal
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second straight week

NSIC South Division Player of the Week

Augustana

- Averaged 15 points and 9.5 rebounds in wins over Truman State and William Penn
- Scored 17 points with 12 rebounds, two blocks and two assists in a 72-57 win over Truman State
- Added 13 points and seven boards with two more blocks and assists in a 94-54 win over William Penn
- Shot 62.5 percent from the floor (10-16), including 4-of-6 from three point range

- Bemidji State climbed back from a 13-point deficit to take down Mayville State, 63-62, at BSU Gymnasium
- The Beavers held the Comets to 25.0 percent shooting from the field while going 9-of-18 to complete the comeback
- Mayville State missed the second half of two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining to seal the game for Bemidji State
- BSU shot 33.9 percent from the field and 20.0 percent from long range, while pulling down a season-high 51 rebounds
- Bemidji State travels to Denver, Colo., to take part in the Metro State Classic Nov. 24-25

- Freshman guard Brooklyn Bachmann led BSU in scoring for the second straight game with 21 points, while adding five assists (four in the fourth quarter), four steals and four rebounds
- Sophomore center Sydney Arrington totaled 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field, scoring nine points in the fourth quarter
- Senior center Sierra Senske and freshman guard Maria Appicelli each scored eight points, with Appicelli scoring all eight in the fourth quarter on two 3-pointers and two free throws

-The Golden Bears dropped to 1-2 on the season as they lost 56-49 to Northern Michigan on Thursday
-This was the fifth time out of seven meetings that these two teams played in games that were decided by ten points or less
-CSP shot 81.3% from the line, cashing in on 13 points on free-throws, compared to the five scored by Northern Michigan. As a team, CSP is shooting .766 from the free-throw line, which is sixth best in the conference

-Junior guard Anna Schmitt led offensively with 19 points, including hitting all six of her free-throw attempts
-Junior Lindsay Dorr recorded her first double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing a massive 14 rebounds
-Sophomore Brianna Miller did a little bit of everything for the Bears in their home-opener, scoring seven points, while also compiling three rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals

- Opened the home schedule with an 87-47 win over Dickinson State University
- 10 of the 14 Marauders who played in the game scored, including three in double figures
- The Marauders swamped the Blue Hawks inside, holding an edge in rebounds (49-25) and points in the paint (30-16)
- After hosting Presentation College on Tuesday, the Marauders open Northern Sun action at Minot State University on Saturday, Nov. 25

- Gabbie Bohl posted her first double-double of the season against the Blue Hawks with 24 points and 13 rebounds, both season-highs
- She was 10-of-14 from the field and 4-of-6 at the line in 23 minutes. She is averaging 19.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 65.9 percent from the floor
- Dani Williams made 6-of-9 3-pointers - tying her career best – and scored 20 points against Dickinson State. The senior guard also had five rebounds and two assists and didn’t commit a turnover
- Cassie Askvig just missed her own double double with 15 points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes in the DSU game
- She is averaging 16.8 points and 8.8 rebounds while making 49 percent of her shots and 83 percent of her free throws

- The Golden Eagles lost a pair of games on the weekend as they fell 68-52 to No. 21 Michigan Tech and 73-55 to Northern Michigan
- Minnesota Crookston was within nine with five minutes remaining against a strong Huskies team, but gave up a 12-5 run at the end as Michigan Tech picked up the victory
- Northern Michigan used a big third quarter to pick up the victory over the Golden Eagles
- They outscored Minnesota Crookston 24-13 in the third stanza
- Minnesota Crookston is sixth in the NSIC in free throw percentage at 72.7 percent
- The Golden Eagles are tied for fifth in the league for rebounding defense with 33.0 per game
- Isieoma Odor leads the league in rebounding with 11.0 per game. She is also first in the league with 4.0 offensive rebounds per contest

- Isieoma Odor averaged 15.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in games against two tough opponents in Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan
- She shot 46.2 percent from the field and 70.0 percent from the charity stripe
- Micaela Noga averaged 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles

- Northern out-scored their opponents by 26.7 points and out-rebounded their opponents by 14.7 boards on average
- NSU tallied their second top-25 victory of the season in the 75-59 win over No. 5 CSU Pueblo

- Rebounded to win, 54-52, over tournament host Colorado School of Mines, using Jasmine Harris’s buzzer-beating layup to break the tie and win
- The Cougars made six 3-pointers in the second half against CSM, hitting nine in the game, while holding the Orediggers to 29.3 percent shooting

- Lauren Sanders hit seven threes in her debut and the freshman guard scored 23 points to lead USF past Presentation and she averaged 11.7 points in three games
- Augusta Thramer didn’t score in the season opener, but she dished out nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds
- Jacey Huinker narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds against Presentation
- Kaely Hummel led the Cougars in scoring against Metro State and Colorado School of Mines with 12 and 11, respectively, and she tied Sanders with 11.7 points per game
- Moira Duffy had a career night against Colorado School of  Mines, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking 7 shots

Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs
Last Week 1-0 Season Record Streak Preseason Poll
W 71-56 vs Waldorf  1-2, 0-0 South W1 12th Overall, 7th South
Team Notes
- Southwest Minnesota State captured its first win of the season with a 71-56 home victory over Waldorf on Saturday afternoon
- The Mustangs shot 37 percent from the floor against Waldorf but held a 44-10 advantage in points in the paint
- SMSU held a 19-4 advantage in second chance points against Waldorf with 17 offensive rebounds as a team in the win
- SMSU held Waldorf to just nine fourth quarter points
- The Mustangs’ bench outscored Waldorf 41-13
- The win over Waldorf snapped a 14-game home losing streak for SMSU and was the first home win for Head Coach Tom Webb
Top Performer(s)
- Sarah Buysse had 18 points on 7 of 19 shooting in the win over Waldorf
- Buysse also had two blocks and two steals on top of five rebounds for the Mustangs
- Caleigh Rodning had her first double-double of the year with 10 points and 13 boards
- Emily Buysse went 3 of 4 shooting from behind the arc finishing with nine points

Team Notes
- The Huskies continued the unbeaten streak to start the season with a 93-32 victory over Northland College
- The 61-point victory was the largest for the program since a 64-point win over Minnesota Morris, 97-33, during the 2001-02 season
- The team is now 2-0 all-time against Northland and have outscored the Lumberjills 198-84 in the matchups over the last two seasons
- The team will travel to the Parrish Hotels Thanksgiving Classic next weekend from Nov. 24-25 in Topeka, Kansas
Top Performer(s)
- Tori Wortz led the team in scoring for the second straight game with 18 points
- Wortz along with fellow freshman Nikki Kilboten and senior Andrea Thomas each had four steals in the game
- All 13 players on the roster were able to score
- Three players reached double figures in scoring (Wortz, Kassidy Steen and Madelin Dammann)

- UIU averaged 22 points in the first quarter this past week, but did not average more than 16 points a game in the second, third and fourth quarters
- Upper Iowa outrebounded their opponents 116-107 for the week or a 38.7-35.7 average per game

- Ashley Rosenstiel averaged 13 points a game and converted 52% of her attempts from the field and 60% (6-10) of her three-point tries; the senior guard also averaged 7 rebounds a game
- Blair Klostermann averaged 13 points a game after converting 18 of her 22 free throws
- Natalie Dinius averaged 12.3 points per game with 10 of her 13 made field goals coming from behind the arc
- Haley Martin averaged 7.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game with four triples on her stat line for the week
