NSIC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kimberly Peterson  (Pole Vault, So., Elizabeth, Colo. / Elizabeth HS) - Sioux Falls

- Claimed first place at the Howard Wood Relays with vault of 13-11.25
- Ranks as the highest vault in NCAA Division II this season, two inches ahead of second place
- The vault also sets a new USF record and is an NCAA automatic qualifying height
- This marks the third time this season Peterson has been named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week (4/5/16 & 5/4/16)

NSIC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Haley Kruger (Distance, Jr., Brandon, S.D. / Brandon Valley HS) - Minnesota State

- Took first place in the 800-meter run twice during the last week
- Won MSU Twilight 800m run in a time of 2:15.55
- Placed first in the 800-meter run at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in a career best time of 2:08.40, which is an NCAA provisional time and is the sixth fastest time in Division II this season
- This marks the second time this season Kruger has been named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week (4/27/16)

Augustana

- Competed at the Howard Wood Relays
Women’s Track
- Kayla Mescher provisionally qualified in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.53 breaking the school record previously set by Cecilie Udsten in 2010
- The time ranks eighth best in the nation
- Mescher also provisionally qualified in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.92, breaking her own school record of 1:00.46 set in 2014
Women’s Field
- Bree Woelber provisionally qualified in the Javelin throw with a throw of 41.96 meters

Bemidji State
The Bemidji State University track and field team used its final week of the 2016 outdoor regular season to compete in the Ron Masanz Classic in Moorhead, Minn.
Women’s Track
-Nicole Crummy posted a career-best 800-meter run mark, placing fourth in a time of 2:19.39
-Fellow senior Chloe Miller also placed fourth in her best event, clocking a 16.03 in the 100-meter hurdles
-Freshman Christa Benson posted a personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles, placing fifth in a time of 1:07.35
-The BSU 4x100-meter relay team of Nikki Anderson, Miller, Sara Melom and Emeline Sevila came just a fraction of a second from establishing a season-best in the event, crossing the finish line in a time of 50.52 seconds to take fourth
Women’s Field
-The Beavers were led by Samanth Velde who broke her own school record in the hammer throw to take runner up honors with a 154-07 and fifth place in the discus with a 119-09— which was just inches form her season-best toss

Concordia-St. Paul
Women’s Track
- Erika Shady took home second in the 200 meter dash with a time 25.82 seconds at the Warrior Challenge
- Shady added a second place finish in the 4x400 meter relay along with Wakpor Ighovojah, America Gray and Kalle Burney
- Shady chipped in a fifth place finish in the pole vault with a height of 101.25
- Shady put up the third best time in the 100 meter prelims, but did not compete in the finals
Women’s Field
- Marianna Kramer won in the pole vault at the Warrior Challenge
- Kramer cleared 11-7 in the event
- Kramer also finished 10th in the high jump by clearing a height of 11-7

University of Mary
Women’s Track
- Sophomore Tonie-Ann Pandohie tied school record while winning 100 meter hurdles at Bison Tune Up in NCAA provisional qualifying time
- Pandohie ranks seventh in country and second in the NSIC
- Senior All-American Josie Guptill won the 400 meter hurdles at the Masanz Classic in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:01.16
- Other winners at the Bison Tune Up included All-American Melanie Rodriguez in the 400 meter dash (58.63 seconds), Jaiden Schuette in the 1500 meter run (4:50.67) and All-American Faith Kjelstrup in the triple jump (39-04.00)
Women’s Field    
- Senior Molly McDonald won the high jump at both the Bison Tune Up and the Ron Masanz Classic. She cleared the bar at 5-06.50 in Fargo before setting a personal best at 5-07.25 in Moorhead. Both efforts are NCAA provisional qualifying marks. McDonald ranks third in the NSIC and 13th nationally
- All-American Davina Carr cleared 12-08.25 in the pole vault at the Bison Tune Up - an NCAA provisional qualifying mark - to place second in the event

Minnesota Duluth
- Minnesota Duluth took part in the Warrior Challenge on Saturday at Winona State University
- Three Bulldogs, freshman Elizabeth Brunner, junior Breanna Colbenson and freshman Danielle Kohlwey, won individual titles
Women’s Track
- Breanna Colbenson prevailed in the 1,500-meter run and did so with an NCAA II provisionally-qualifying time of 4:31.90
- Kohlwey placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.16
Women’s Field
- Brunner took top honors in the triple jump for the fourth time in six outdoor meets this spring with a leap of 37-11.5

Minnesota State
Women’s Track
- Junior Haley Kruger placed first in the 800-meter run at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in a career best time of 2:08.40, which is the sixth fastest time in D2
- Kruger also placed first at the MSU Twilight in 2:15.55
Women’s Field
- Senior Morgan Stamply won the hammer throw at the MSU Twilight with a career best toss of 190-8, which is currently the ninth best throw in Division II
 
MSU Moorhead
Women’s Track
- Alissa Mears won the 800 meter run at the Ron Masanz Classic in 2:16.56
- Mears’ time was the second-fastest of the season
- Mears was also part of the winning 4x400 relay team that was victorious in 4:07.24, which is the relay’s best time of the season
Women’s Field
- Caroline Jansen, competing at the Ron Masanz Classic, won the long jump at 18-10.5, sixth best in the NSIC this season
- Janson also claimed the 100 hurdles in 14.89  and won the triple jump at 37-4.5

Minot State
- Minot State finished with one event winner and had four runners up at the Minnesota State University Moorhead Ron Masanz Classic Saturday
Women’s Track
- Patience Alberston finished well ahead of the pack, winning the women’s 5,000-meters for her first title in 2016
- DelRay Audet finished in second in the 400 hurdles, setting a personal best time of 1 minute, 2.76 seconds and added a runner up finish in the women’s 4x400 relay
Women’s Field
- Amber Hunsaker finished second overall in the women’s javelin with a toss of 38.71 meters and set a personal best – moving up to No. 6 all time – in the hammer throw
- Randii Widmer placed second in both the long and triple jump, cracking the MSU top 10 all time in the triple jump at No. 10

Northern State
- Northern State traveled to the Howard Wood Dakota Relays over the weekend
- In the first day of action, The Wolves tallied three top-5 finishes and 11 top-10 finishes in individual events
- The second day of competition brought three top-5 finishes and seven top-10 finishes for the Wolves
Women’s Track
- Hanneke Oosterwegel was the top Division II finisher in the 200m dash, taking fifth overall with a time of 24.88, she was also a member of the fourth place 4x100m relay team
-Oosterwegel re-broke her 400m hurdle school record with a time of 1:01.35 in fourth place
-Toni-Ann Ingram also was solid in the sprint events, taking fourth in the 100m dash as the top Division II finisher

Sioux Falls
 - Sioux Falls competed at three meets, The MSU Twilight, Howard Wood Relays, and Nebraska Invitational, where they hit two automatic qualifying marks and a provisional mark to finish the regular season
Women’s Field
- Kimberly Peterson and Courtney Crandall continued their assault on the record books as they placed first and second in the women’s pole vault with automatic qualifying marks
- Peterson won the event with a 13-11.25 clearance, taking over the Division II lead from Crandall
- Peterson’s mark ranks No. 1 in DII this season, No. 1 at USF, and No. 4 in Division II all-time
- Crandall hit her seventh auto mark of the season, taking second at 13-7.25
- Jada Carr hit a provisional mark in the women’s long jump at the MSU Twilight, winning with a distance of 5.81 meters (19-1.00)

Southwest Minnesota State
- The Southwest Minnesota State University track and field teams completed action at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Saturday
Women’s Track
- Sarah Mayfield recorded a 16th place mark in the 800 meters with a time of 2:18.94
Women’s Field
- Rhiannon Sears had a personal best toss of 39.76 meters in the hammer throw to finish 15th

St. Cloud State
- St. Cloud State competed in a pair of meets last week (the MSU Twilight and the Warriors Challenge)
-The women’s team placed fourth at the Warrior Challenge with 60 points
Women’s Track
- Nicole Morpurgo won the 100m dash (12.27) and was also part of the 4x100 relay team along with Emily Yeager, Jada Rice and Jasmine Grant that placed second in their event at the Warrior Challenge
Women’s Field
- Cassie Cardinal won the women’s shot put at the MSU Twilight (13.19m)
- Patience Yalartai placed second in the long jump (5.79m) at the Warrior Challenge

Upper Iowa
- Upper Iowa placed sixth at the Warrior Open hosted by Winona State University in Winona, Minn. on Saturday
Women’s Track
-  Bethani Jacobsen and freshman Alyssa Weber placed first and second in the 3000-meter steeplechase
- Jacobsen finished the race in 13:16.14 to earn the victory, while Weber came in right behind her with a time of 13:38.67

Wayne State
Women’s Track
- Melissa Kroll came in seventh place in the 400 meter dash (1:00.28), and also ran a leg on the 4x400 meter relay team that placed 4th in a time of 4:04.69
Women’s Field
- Kacie O’Connor placed second in the discus with a mark of 139-11 to lead the Wildcats team Friday and Saturday at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Winona State
- The Winona State track and field team took first in 10 events to win its own Warrior Challenge Saturday afternoon at Paul Giel Field in Winona
Women’s Track
- WSU’s 4x100-meter relay team turned in a blistering performance, with Hailey Deschaine, Tamika Tucker, Brittany Schyvinck and Megan Seidl winning the event in a time of 47.16, just shy of their school-record pace
- Seidl blew past the field of competitors in the 400-meter dash , setting a personal record and the second-best time in program history with a time of 55.11 that won the event by more than four seconds
Women’s Field
- Erin Perkins won the hammer throw with a phenomenal toss of 190-11, which became the second-best heave in Winona State history
- Hailey Deschaine also impressed, setting a new school record in the long jump, recording a 19’ 4 ¼” leap, a jump that ranks second in the NSIC this season
