NSIC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
- Ryan Johnson (Throws, Sr., Amery, Wis. / Amery HS) - St. Cloud State

- Won the hammer at the MSU Twilight with a school record and season-best toss of 199-6
- Was the top Division II finisher in the discus with a heave of 172-0
- Both throws were NCAA provisional marks and both ranked 13th in the nation

NSIC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Myles Hunter (Hurdles, Jr., Conyers, Ga. / Heritage HS) - Minnesota State

- Won the 110-meter hurdles at the MSU Twilight in a time of 13.79
- His time is an NCAA automatic qualifying time and just .19 behind his best time of the season, which ranks second in the NCAA
- Marks the second time this season Hunter has earned NSIC Track Athlete of the Week honors (4/18/16)

NSIC Team Notes
Augustana

- Competed at the Howard Wood Relays
Men’s Track
- Jason Greenway finished first at the Howard Wood Relays in the 400-meter hurdles with a provisionally qualifying time of 53.06
- Justin Greenway finished first in the men’s 100-meter dash with a time of 10.81
- Jesus Urtusuastegui placed second in the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:28.88
Men’s Field
- Anthony Huber provisionally qualified in the men’s discus with a throw of 52.23 meters

Concordia-St. Paul
Men’s Track
- David Stanley took fourth in the 200 meter dash at the Warrior Challenge with a time of 22.36 seconds
- Stanley helped the 4x100 meter relay pick up a win with a time of 43.11 seconds
Men’s Field
- Josh Johanson took home a victory in the high jump at the Warrior Challenge
- Johanson put up a height of 6-3.25 in the high jump for the win
- Johanson chipped in a third place finish in the long jump with a distance of 21-7.50

University of Mary
Men’s Track
- Freshman Marceau Jovin won the 110 meter hurdles in 15.53 seconds to win the Bison Tune Up
Men’s Field    
- Freshman Luxon Glor won his fourth straight long jump competition with a school-record and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 24-1.50 at the Bison Tune Up
- It is the third best effort in the NSIC this season
- Senior Dustin Rueb won the high jump competition at the Masanz Classic with an NCAA provisional qualifying and career-high mark of 6-8 that ranks third in the NSIC
- Senior Joe Berger equaled the best height of the day in the high jump at the Bison Tune Up with a career-best 6-07.00 but took second on a tiebreaker

Minnesota Duluth
Buoyed by six individual titles and one relay crown, the University of Minnesota Duluth placed first among six schools at Saturday’s Warrior Challenge, which was hosted by Winona State University
Men’s Track
- Henry Jessen won the 3,000-meter run in 8:39.84 which ranks as the fifth fastest time in all NCAA Divisions this past weekend
Men’s Field
- Brian Lee won the hammer throw with a toss of 166-05

MInnesota State
Men’s Track
- Junior Myles Hunter won the 110-meter hurdles at the MSU Twilight in a time of 13.79
- His time is an NCAA automatic qualifying time and just .19 behind his best time of the season, which ranks second in the NCAA
Men’s Field
- Junior Frank Veldman won the high jump at the MSU Twilight with a height of 6-8.25, which provisionally qualifies him for nationals

MSU Moorhead
Men’s Track
- Brady Speicher won the 1,500 at the Ron Masanz Classic on Saturday in Moorhead
- Speicher posted a winning time of 3:49.15
Men’s Field
- Andrew Werk won the hammer throw at the Ron Masanz Classic on Saturday
- Werk fired a winning throw of 176-9, which is an NCAA provisional toss and fourth-best in the NSIC this season
- Werk’s throw was just one inch away from a career-best

Minot State
- Minot State had two event winners and two runners up to highlight its last regular season meet Saturday at the Minnesota State University Moorhead Ron Masanz Classic
Men’s Track
- Tyler Bates helped the men’s 4x400 relay team to a first place finish, added a second place finish in the men’s 4x400 and was third in the men’s 400-meters
- Farai Madungwe also raced on both the men’s 4x100 and 4x400 teams, finishing first and second respectively
Men’s Field
- Kaleb Kirby won the pole vault with a leap of 4.50 meters, just missing at his personal best height on his last attempt
- Tanner Gust finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.92 peters, moving into third all-time at MSU in the event

Northern State
- The Northern State University men’s track and field team traveled to the Howard Wood Dakota Relays over the weekend
- In the first day of action, the Wolves tallied three top-5 finishes and 13 top-10 finishes in individual events
- The second day of competition brought three top-5 finishes and eight top-10 marks
Men’s Track
- Itoitz Rodriguez was the top Division II finisher in the 400m dash, placing sixth with a time of 48.70
Men’s Field
- David Murphy continued a stellar throwing season with a second place finish in the javelin with a 54.85m throw

Sioux Falls
- Sioux Falls competed at three meets, The MSU Twilight, Howard Wood Relays, and Nebraska Invitational, where they tallied three provisional qualifying marks to finish the regular season
Men’s Track
- Jase Kraft and Mason Phillips placed third and fourth, respectively, in the men’s 800-meter run with the second and third fastest times in USF history
- Mason Phillips was runner-up in the men’s 1,500-meter run, improving his personal-best time
Men’s Field
- Jacob Zebedee set a new PR in the men’s pole vault, clearing 16-7 to take second at the Howard Wood Relays
- Jagger Gran also cleared the same height to finish third and Chase Jensen cleared 16-1

Southwest Minnesota State
Men’s Field
- Junior Alex Weis had an outstanding weekend at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays
- Weis finished third in the shot put with a mark of 14.8 meters
- Weis placed fourth in the hammer throw with a 54.43 meter toss
- Weis also earned a fifth place finish in the discus with a throw of 47.22 meters

St. Cloud State
- St. Cloud State competed in a pair of meets last week including the MSU Twilight and the Warriors Challenge
- The men’s team placed second at the Warrior Challenge with 131 points
Men’s Track
- Vance Barnes won the 100m dash at the Warrior Challenge with a season-best time of 10.75
- Myles Witcher earned the victory at the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.06
- Isaiah Pitchford won the 200m dash (21.98) at the Warrior Challenge and finished second in the 400m at the MSU Twilight (49.13)
Men’s Field
- Desmond Deshay won the long jump at both the MSU Twilight and the Warrior Challenge (7.00m/22’11.75)
- Rafael Saez earned the shot put title at the Warrior (15.18m) and placed second in the event at the MSU Twilight
- Ryan Johnson won the hammer at the MSU Twilight with a school record and season-best toss of 199-6
- Johnson also placed second in the men’s discus with a 172-0 heave
- Both throws were NCAA provisional marks and both rank 13th in the nation

Wayne State
Men’s Track
- Clay Kramper set a new school record while winning the 200 meter dash to lead the Wayne State at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
- Kramper recorded a time of  21.34 seconds to cross the tape first in the 200 meter dash Friday evening
- Kramper broke the previous school record of 21.52 seconds held by Alex Timperley in 2012
- It’s the second-fastest time in the NSIC this season and the record run was also an NCAA provisional mark for Kramper
Men’s Field
- Bryan Dunn posted a second place finish in the hammer throw at 181’ 8” at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays and was the top collegiate finisher in the event
