NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#3 Taylor Wissbroecker (OH, 6-0, Jr., Rhinelander, Wis. / Rhinelander HS) - Minnesota Duluth

- Averaged an NSIC-high 5.17 kills per set with 31 on the week
- Hit .456 with just five errors on 57 swings
- Added 19 digs, two service aces, and four blocks
- Knocked down a career-high 20 kills against Minot State without a single error on 28 swings
- Hit .714 while completing a double-double with 10 digs against Minot State
- Collected 11 kills with one service ace and four blocks while adding nine digs against U-Mary

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#1 Taylor Reiss (MB, 5-10, Fr., Taunton, Minn. / Minneota) - SMSU

- Put up a career-high nine blocks versus UIU (8 assists; 1 solo)
- Totaled 14 blocks over the weekend for an NSIC-high 2.00 block per set average
- Helped SMSU record back-to-back double-digit blocks over the weekend
- Recorded a team-high 33 kills over the weekend while hitting .333
- Grounded a career-high 17 kills vs. Upper Iowa
- Hit a career-high .359 vs. the Peacocks Friday night
- Led the NSIC with 6.21 points per set last week (43.5 points)

NSIC Setter of the Week
#8 Ashley Hinsch (S, 5-10, Sr., Zumbrota, Minn. / Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) - Minnesota Duluth

- Averaged an NSIC-high 14.17 assists per set in sweeps over Minot State and U-Mary
- Collected her second double-double of the season with a team-high 12 digs and 36 assists
- Added 17 digs with one block on the week
- Finished with a three-set season-high 49 assists against Minot State
- Led the Bulldogs to a season-best .490 attack percentage with just six errors by attackers

- Went 0-2 on the weekend with losses at No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State
- Junior Dani Magdzas had 18 kills on the weekend giving her 148 for the season
- Sophomore Alex Banker had a season high 31 assists vs. Concordia
- The Vikings will host Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State this weekend
- The Bemidji State volleyball team dropped two matches at home over the weekend
- The Beavers lost to MSU-Moorhead 3-1 Friday night, and then fell to No. 9 Northern State 3-0 Saturday
- Junior Jessica Yost recorded her fifth double-double of the season after posting 17 kills and 14 digs against MSU Moorhead
- Setter Ashley Kiecker recorded her fourth 40+ assist match of the season when she tallied 40 assists against MSU Moorhead
- Senior Kayla DeJong moved into 8th all-time with 1,193 career digs at Bemidji State
- The Beavers travel to face ranked opponents Wayne State (Neb.) and Augustana this weekend
- CSP picked up wins over No. 19 Augie and No. 11 WSC at home
- Knocked off Augie in five sets and came from behind in four sets against WSC
- CSP hit .298 as a team for the weekend and held opponents to .202
- Riley Hanson led CSP with 30 kills and a .481 hitting percentage
- Kasey Williams had at least 57 assists and 13 digs in each match
- CSP travels to UMD for a non-conference match on Tuesday before returning home against U-Mary and Minot State
- CSP is 19-25 against UMD, 14-0 against U-Mary and 4-0 against Minot State
- Marauders lost both matches on the weekend to top-ranked Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University
- U-Mary moves to 8-8 on the season, 3-4 in conference
- Marauders take on top-25 teams Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State this coming week, rounding out a four-match road trip
- U-Mary will look for their first victory against the Golden Bears in 14 matches with Concordia taking both matches in 2014
- The Marauders are still looking for their first win against Minnesota State in 11 tries
- The UMC volleyball team split on the weekend with a 3-1 win over MSU Moorhead and a 3-0 loss to No. 9 Northern State
- The Golden Eagles were led by 12 kills from Maggie Perrel against MSU Moorhead
- Becca Vandenheuvel had her best match of the season with 22 digs against the Dragons
- Sierra Trost had 40 assists in four sets against the Dragons
- The Golden Eagles will hit the road to face Augustana University Friday and Wayne State College Saturday
- UMC is currently tied for ninth in the standings with a 3-4 mark in league play
- No. 1 UMD picked up a pair of three-game sweeps on the weekend, defeating U-Mary and Minot State
- The Bulldogs will host longtime rival Concordia-St. Paul on Tuesday night at Romano Gym to start Homecoming week
- UMD owns a 23-18 overall record and has won four of its last five meetings against the Golden Bears
- Senior setter Ashley Hinsch averaged 14.17 assists per game, setting up her offense to hit .411 on the weekend
- Junior outside hitter Taylor Wissbroecker averaged 5.17 kills per game with just five errors while hitting .456 and grabbing 19 digs
- Defensively, first-year libero Erin Schindler averaged 4.33 digs per game and junior middle blocker Sydnie Mauch averaged 1.50 blocks
- MSU fell in four sets to No. 11 Wayne State, before taking down No. 19 Augustana in four sets
- Krista Hassing led MSU with 33 kills (4.12 k/s) and a .274 attack percentage
- Haley Fogarty had 26 digs against No. 11 Wayne State and 20 against No. 19 Augustana
- The Mavericks will take on Minot State on Friday at 7:00 p.m., before they take on U-Mary on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
- MSUM is in the midst of four straight road matches, which is the Dragons’ longest stretch of the season.
- Senior Casie Baer is now one assist away from 2,000 in her career after recording 73 last week
- Claire Grimm led MSUM with 21 kills in two matches including a season-high 14 in a four-set win over BSU
- Dragons lead NSIC in blocks per set at 2.67; junior Kelsey Hartkopf is second in league at 1.39 blocks per set
- MSUM to play at Winona State and Upper Iowa next week
- Minot State went 0-2 last week to move its record to 3-11
- The Beavers were swept in both matches against St. Cloud State and No. 1 Minnesota Duluth
- Shaunessy Dauwalder led team with 15 kills on the weekend
- Freshman setter Kelsey Dewulf assisted 45 kills
- Minot State will travel to Minnesota State and Concordia, St. Paul on Friday and Saturday
- NSU added two more wins with 3-0 victories over Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State
- Kelsey Chambers led the team with 27 kills over the weekend followed by Cari McGarvie and Mandy Kurosky with 16 apiece
- The Wolves lead the league in hitting percentage (.373), assists per set (14.21), and kills per set (14.98)
- Kellie Schmidt and Cari McGarvie sit first and second in the league in hitting percentage with marks of .544 and .464
- Drew Smith leads the league in assists per set with a 13.26 average
- Drew Smith leads the nation in assists per set, while Cari McGarvie (2) and Kelsey Chambers (6) sit in the top ten in hitting percentage
- The Wolves remain on the road next weekend, traveling to Upper Iowa and Winona State
 - Sioux Falls nearly broke through for their first NSIC win of the season, but came a few points shy
 - The Cougars dropped their Friday match, 3-0, to No. 25 Winona State, succumbing to a 9-0 run in the third set after holding a six-point lead
 - The following afternoon, Sioux Falls looked primed to capture their first league win, but Upper Iowa stormed back to win in five sets
 - Makenna Rockeman posted her second career double-double with 19 kills and 21 digs and led the Cougars for the weekend with 23 kills
 - Abby Folk put together two nice matches in the back row, collecting 14 and 22 digs for a team-high 36 over the weekend.
 - Sioux Falls returns home for Cougar Days, Homecoming 2015, where they will host SCSU and UMD on Friday and Saturday
- SMSU went 2-0 over the weekend with wins at UIU and No. 25 WSU
- The Mustangs put up back-to-back double-digit blocks last weekend
- SMSU recorded its lowest attack errors since the first match of the season with just 12 attack errors vs. Upper Iowa
- The Mustangs recorded their fourth and fifth double-digit block matches this season vs. UIU and WSU
- SMSU held No. 25 Winona State to a .109—third lowest for the Mustang defense this season
- No. 5 SMSU will return home and face No. 1 Minnesota Duluth on Friday night at 7 p.m.
- The Mustangs will then host St. Cloud State on Saturday at 3 p.m.
- SCSU went undefeated this weekend with victories over Minot State and U-Mary
- Rachel Burke recorded a team-high 15 kills against Minot State
- Burke leads the Huskies in kills with 139, averaging 2.67 kills per set.
- Allison Butler has tallied 361 assists on the season, averaging 6.81 assists per set
- Brianne Stamer leads the Huskies defensively with 301 digs, the second most in the NSIC
- St. Cloud State will return to action next weekend as they travel to USF and SMSU
- Upper Iowa split a pair of matches at home with No. 5 SMSU and Sioux Falls
- The Peacocks played tough against the No. 5 Mustangs with a pair of two-point losses in sets one and two
- UIU rallied from a two-set deficit against Sioux Falls for a 3-2 victory
- Senior Jenny Mundt became the all-time leader in kills/career at Upper Iowa on Saturday; she now has 1,314 kills
- Freshman Bethany Lovhaug dominated the net in sets three, four and five to spark UIU’s rally with 7 blocks
- The Peacocks will host No.9 Northern State on Friday and MSU Moorhead on Saturday as part of the 2015 Homecoming Weekend
 - Wayne State went 1-1 in road matches over the weekend, beating Minnesota State 3-1 while falling 3-1 at #3 Concordia-St. Paul
 - Senior outside hitter Katie Hughes had two double-doubles and averaged 4.00 kills and 4.50 digs per set
 - Senior libero Courtney VanGroningen recorded season-high 27 digs in 3-1 win at Minnesota State
 - WSC tied season-high with 11 service aces in match at Concordia-St. Paul
 - Junior outside hitter Michaela Mestl had double-doubles vs. MSU and CU
 - Wildcats are home this weekend playing Bemidji State Friday night and Minnesota Crookston Saturday afternoon
- No. 25 WSU went 1-1 last weekend, sweeping Sioux Falls before falling to No. 5 SMSU 3-1
- Taylor Goar had season-highs with 20 kills and hit .415 Friday against USF
- Danielle Rampart hit .571 with nine kills against USF and recorded a double-double against SMSU
- WSU remains home this weekend, hosting MSU Moorhead and Northern State
- WSU is 28-57 all-time against MSUM and 26-30 against NSU
