Minot State
MacFarlane recorded a total of three goals and two assists for Minot State in the final two games of regular season NSIC play. She started the week with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at NSU. She assisted on the first goal (which took place 16 second into the game) of a 4-0 win versus MSU Moorhead, the 14th fastest goal scored in NCAA Division II women’s soccer. She went on to recorded two goals and an assist in her final home game of her collegiate career against the Dragons.

Buttron posted two shutouts 12 saves and faced 11 corner kicks in the final weekend of the regular season. She did not allow a goal in 200 minutes, including a 1-0 win at MSU Moorhead and a 0-0 draw at home against Northern State in the season finale. She made nine saves in the win over the Dragons and added three more in the tie with Northern State to finish the season with four shutouts, a 1.46 goals against average and a .798 save percentage.

The Bemidji State soccer team finished the 2014 regular season falling at University of Minnesota Duluth 2-0 Friday and dropped its finale 1-0 to St. Cloud State University Sunday. Despite the losses, BSU finished the regular season 9-8-1 overall and 8-6-1 in NSIC play and claimed the eighth spot in the 2014 US Bank/NSIC Soccer Tournament. The Beavers will face top-seeded Minnesota State University, Mankato in the quarterfinal round at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mankato, Minn. The Beavers make their sixth consecutive appearance in the conference tournament. BSU is 3-9-2 all-time in postseason play wand seek their first NSIC Tournament victory since a 2-1 victory over Augustana College in the 2010 event.

2013 Record: 3-11-4, 1-10-4 NSIC (t-14th)
The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team put together one of their best seasons in school history with a 6-6-6 record as the Golden Eagles finished ninth in the conference standings. UMC has continued to make strides in the three seasons with Joe Alianiello as head coach. The season was highlighted by their first-ever result against No. 18 Winona State with a 0-0 tie, and a 1-0 win over No. 20 Augustana, their first-ever win over a ranked foe. The Golden Eagles had three streaks of three or more games where they didn’t lose, picking up a win or a tie.
The Golden Eagles were led by Courtney Armborst’s eight goals on the season. Freshman Miranda Mosher added four goals and an assist. Center back Rachelle Alcini anchored a back line that limited opponents to just 18 goals, a program all-time low. UMC picked up eight shutouts on the year, led by Lexie Gauger’s seven shutouts on the year, which was a program record.

The Mavericks finished the regular season with an undefeated record for the first time in program history. The 18 wins mark’s the most wins by a team in program history as well. MSU will play Bemidji State in the first round of the NSIC/US Bank Tournament on Wednesday in Mankato at The Pitch. The opening kick is set for 1 p.m.

MSUM made a three-win improvement from its 2013 season and had several close calls, losing seven games by one goal. MSUM will lose just two seniors – Erin Nyberg and Stephanie Lindo – from this year’s roster and are slated to return 13 players who started at least six games or more this season.

- Northern State fell 2-0 to Minot State before playing the University of Mary to a 0-0 tie.
- The U-Mary game marked the final game for seniors Steph Sharp, Kourtney Woracek, Shaina Stein, and Stephanie Carrillo.
- The Wolves ended the year 6-11-1 overall and 5-9-1 in the Northern Sun. The Wolves fell short of a conference tournament berth, finishing 12th in the league standings.

University of Sioux Falls finished the season with a pair of losses to reach a final record of 2-15-1 overall and 2-13 in NSIC play. The Cougars tripped just more than a mile to face No. 23 Augustana on Friday afternoon where the Vikings’ potent offense handed USF a 5-0 loss. In their season finale against Wayne State, the Cougars couldn’t overcome an early second half deficit as Jordan Craig’s three point-blank shots were stopped by the WSC defense including one by a Wildcat defender at the goal line which preserved a 2-0 victory.

St. Cloud State finished their 2014 regular season with 2 wins against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2. The Huskies Michelle Cornell scored a header off a corner kick from Gabby Fleck, with one minute left in the game against UMC to tie it 1-1 and send the game into overtime. This was Cornell’s first goal of the season. Michelle Cornell had 2 goals on the weekend, and got her first 2 goals of the season. Gabby Fleck assisted all 3 goals that SCSU scored this weekend and doubled her seasons points going from 3 to 6 in one weekend.

(Norris HS), scored her first goal of the season off a corner by Mallory Hoyt for the first goal while Lambert followed with her second goal of the season with an assist by Josie Brown for the 2-0 Wildcat win.

The Warriors open NSIC/US Bank Soccer Tournament play as the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Southwest Minnesota State Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
