Schilling registered back-to-back double-doubles, including two 20-point performances as the Vikings opened the season 2-0 at the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase. Schilling averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds, 3.5 assists to go along with two blocks and two steals in wins over Washburn and Pittsburg State. He started off the weekend with 23 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in a win over Washburn on Friday night and added 25 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in Saturday’s win over Pittsburg State.

Fort helped the Huskies to a 2-0 start to the season as SCSU defeated Lindenwood University, 65-58 and Emporia State, 87-77, at the NCAA DII Tip-Off Classic held in Las Vegas. Fort scored 20 points in the season opening win over Lindenwood, which equals his career high in scoring. He made seven of nine field goal attempts, had seven rebounds and two blocks. He posted a double-double in a win over Emporia State with 14 points and ten rebounds, making seven of eight field goal attempts. It marked the second double-double of his career. He finished the weekend with a 17.0 ppg average, 8.5 rebounds per game average and a whopping 82.4 percent shooting from the field, and averaged 25 minutes of playing time.
