NSIC Men’s Golfer of the Year

Charlie West was voted by the coaches as the NSIC Men’s Golfer of the Year. West won the 2012 NSIC individual title posting a final round 71 and winning a three-hole playoff with Jon Anderson of Upper Iowa. West posted a tournament score of 76-71-69-71 for a three over par total of 287. West also won the Winona Spring Invite and was named NSIC Golfer of the Week two weeks in a row. His season stroke average was 75.3 as he earned five top ten finishes on the year.

Geoff Klein was voted by his peers as the 2011-12 NSIC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year. Klein, in his third season at Minnesota State, guided the Mavericks to their fourth consecutive NSIC Men’s Golf Championship. This marks the second time in his three year’s coaching that Klein has been selected as the NSIC Coach of the Year.
