Minnetonka, Minn. (Life Time Fitness) -No. 1-seeded Augustana claimed a 5-1 victory over No. 5-seeded St. Cloud State at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships Saturday to advance to the finals on Sunday.

The Vikings, who had a first-round bye, improve to 17-3 on the season. SCSU drops to 13-14.

Augustana will face the winner of No. 2-seeded Winona State and No. 3-seeded Upper Iowa tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. at Life Time Fitness' Oakdale Village Tennis.

Augie took the two of the three doubles matches winning 8-3 and 8-5 at the top two spots.   They also won at No. singles with Kathrynn Jesperson defeated Cassandra Bown 6-3, 6-1 and Michelle Wadas defeating Katie Kotschevar 6-3, 6-1at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.  Liz Lewis wond 6-1, 6-1 over Kayla Buckley at No. 5 singes to claim the match.
