Golf Regional in Joplin, Mo. The Warriors shot a three round total of 901 (+37)

Mo. - Winona State shot a round of 303 in the second round of the NCAA Central
Region Golf Tournament in Joplin, Mo. The 15 over par puts them at 300 total
strokes for the tournament and 17 back of the leader Washburn University. Bemidji
State shot a round of 310 (+22) to move their total score to 616 after two rounds.
Winona State's Matt Horel and Bret Toftness
both shot rounds of even par 72 on the first day and +4 rounds of 76 on day
two to tie for sixth at 148. Minnesota, Crookston's Steven Busho
(individual) shot a one over 73 on day one and a +4 76 in round two to sit in
eighth place with a 149. Winona State's Kevin Loeffler and
Bemidji State's Mitchell Mackedanz are also tied for eighth
place at 149. Loeffler shot rounds of 76 and 73 while Mackedanz had rounds of

INDIANAPOLIS, IND.: The 2007 NCAA Division II North Regional will take place on Apr. 30-May 2 at Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa, and is hosted by Upper Iowa University. The regional will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with six teams and three individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All 33 participants will compete throughout the 54 holes of competition. The top two teams along with the top two individuals not with a team from each regional, will advance to the NCAA championships on May 9-12.
The 2007 NCAA Division II Women¹s Golf Championships will be held May 9-12, at Stonebrook Golf Club in Pensacola, Fla., and will be hosted by the University of West Florida.

Yankton, S.D. - The second half of the NSIC Women’s Golf Championship will tee off at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday & Sunday at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D. The NSIC Women’s Championship has 36 holes played in the fall and concludes with 36 more holes played in the spring. Following the fall round, Winona State (657) holds a two stroke lead over Upper Iowa (659) and a ten stroke lead over SW Minnesota State (669). SW Minnesota State has won the last six NSIC Women’s Golf Championships.

Upper Iowa Women: Finished second at Missouri Western Invite
on Monday. They finished second by three strokes in a shortened (one day) Augustana
Invite while setting a school record as they shot 311 as a team.
Laura Taylor (5-7, Fr., Woodbury, Minn.) shot a 73 (35-38)
to earn Medalist honors at the Augustana Invite. She also fired an 84 on Monday
at Missouri Western to help the Peacocks take over the second slot in the opening
tournament.
Rachael Schmidt earned Medalist honors at the Missouri Western
Invite and finished in a tie for 2nd at the Augustana Invite with a 75 (38-37).
Upper Iowa Men: Finished in a tie for sixth nine strokes behind the leader in
a shortened (one day) Augustana Invite as they fired a 308.
Brian Peck (6-2, So., Grand Meadow, MN) shot a 75 (38-37) and
finished in a tie for 11th as he led the Peacocks into a tie with Bemidji State
in 6th place.
Tyler Pederson shot a 77 (33-44) to finish in a tie at twenty-third.
Craig Signorin and Kevin Bredy gave the Peacocks two more sub-80 rounds as they
each shot 78.
